“Large” pores are the ones you can see without a microscope. They can look like small dots on the skin of your face and can be caused by oil production in the pores, a loss of firmness in the skin due to aging, or clogged pores.

Blackheads are small bumps that appear on your skin due to clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called blackheads because the surface looks dark or black.

Whiteheads are a form of acne that stay under the skin, but produce a raised white bump. Acne breakouts commonly occur on the face, back, chest, and sometimes the neck and shoulders. These blemishes tend to appear in areas with larger concentrations of sebaceous glands, the glands responsible for creating the skin’s sebum or oils.
